Grand Teton National Park
Teton rises 13,770 feet above sea level towering over the valley of Jackson Hole. The twelve Teton peaks reach over 12,000 feet in elevation. Although the eastern face range is sharply steeped, the western range slopes gently downward, displaying the tilt angle of the Earth's crust. This is the youngest mountain range in the Rocky Mountain system featuring some of North America's oldest rocks. Visitors are advised to concentrate on park areas rather than attempting to see all attractions in one day. Call 307-739-3300 for more information.
